Healing Through Self-Expression
25 minutes | Débutant
I’m Leila Twenish, Anishnaabekwe from Kitigan Zibi and Barrier Lake, Quebec. I want to explore how self-expression—like dance, music, and art—helps us heal. I’ll shed light on artists’ journeys and how they overcame their struggles to show you we aren’t alone.
The world can make us feel small. But we can make a great change with a healthy and open-minded community for the people. Making positive changes for the future is empowering, and that’s what we need.
After this activity, you will learn
- To demonstrate healthy outlets when it comes to self-expression & healing
- To break toxic cycles
- Be inspired, especially if you are an aspiring artist
